What Are LiIO3 Crystals?

Lithium iodate (LiIO3) is a well-established nonlinear, acousto-optic and piezoelectric optical crystal. It is a negative uniaxial crystal with a wide optical transmission window, good phase-matching properties and useful nonlinear coefficients—making it a cost-effective choice for frequency conversion, mixings and laser applications in the UV–mid-IR.

Features

  • Crystal Type: Hexagonal (uniaxial, negative). Good optical homogeneity for NLO use.
